Delete your account

You can delete your MeraSociety account at any time.

In the app

• Residents and committee members: More → Delete account.
• Secretaries: Settings → Delete account. If you are the society's only secretary, the society is deleted too; make another member secretary first if the society should continue.

Without the app

Email support@merasociety.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my MeraSociety account". We act on requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in: you are signed out on every device and your email is released (signing up again creates a new account).
• Your phone number and photo on your profile, your devices and notification tokens.

What is kept, and why

Your society's records that it must keep by law, such as bills, payments, receipts, the society ledger and complaint history, stay with the society for up to 8 years. The email and phone number your account had are archived with those records only to explain them in an audit or dispute, and are not used for anything else. See our Privacy Policy.
